Yossi Zwecker was born in the Israeli town Hadera in 1965. He began his career as a professional photographer at an early age, during his IDF military service. After being discharged from the army, Zwecker spent a decade working as a news and culture photographer for the daily Israeli newspaper Hadashot. He went on to contribute to television and film productions, and gradually began to specialize in photography of the performing arts. Over the past two decades, Zwecker has worked extensively with Israel’s leading theater companies, dance groups, and schools of arts, cinema, and music. He currently serves as the house photographer for the Israeli Opera House, the Tel Aviv Performing Arts Center, the Israeli Ballet and others.
