These Menorahs take on a simple, rectangular shape that expresses the clay from which they are made; contrasting with the playful splashes of color that flow over the rigid form, applied with a lighthearted, humorous touch that undermines the seriousness of the minimalist style. Real gold accents are placed at the base of the candles, bestowing on the Menorah a touch of elegant festivity.

Materials: Porcelain (lead-free), paint, gold
Dimensions: 2.3in*7.8in

The Gureviches’ Menorahs are characterized by straight, classical lines on the one hand, and a light, humorous touch on the other. The Menorahs take on a simple, rectangular shape that expresses the clay from which they are made; in contrast, playful splashes of color flow over the rigid form, applied with a carefree abandon that undermines the seriousness of the minimalist style. These splashes of paint are spontaneous, one-of-a-kind creations, making each piece entirely unique. Real gold accents are placed at the base of the candles, bestowing on the Menorah a touch of elegant festivity.

Nadya and Dima Gurevich

Nadya and Dima Gurevitch, a husband-and-wife team, are two young designers who immigrated to Israel from Eastern Europe. Upon completion of their studies in Ceramic Art and Industrial Design, the couple opened the Sculpture In Design Studio in Old Jaffa, where they create functional sculptures made from porcelain that span a range of styles, from the delicately elegant to the bluntly whimsical. These objects insert themselves into the quotidian habits of daily life, sparking conversations and creating space for thought and inspiration within mundane actions.
